Dedication
I dedicate these poems to my wonderful God, He has given me a place to live in His wonderful world and has given me the great gift of writing. All credit is to the Lord, no credit do I take for the Lord guides my hand and my heart, I am a recorder of His great love.

God gently wakes me in the night giving His messages to me, I quickly take my pen and write in deep humility. God walks behind me in the day telling me of His love, showing me His precious works below and the radiance from above. The Lord sends us gifts for our fellow man, to take the credit is not the heavenly plan. I stand field with the spirit as I praise my dear Lord, I stand protected from evil by His mighty blood and sword.

The Re-creation of God’s Creation

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)

Included in God’s creation was man. Over the years, man has tried to re-create God’s wonders; however, the closest anyone has ever come is shown in the work of an artist or sculptor. These highly gifted people possess the ability to capture a likeness of almost anything, and then transform this image to a blank canvas or an ordinary hunk of clay.

Have you ever seen an artist or sculptor at work? If not, you have been missing one of the greatest sights of your life. At this point a distinction needs to be made concerning the various artists. I am not talking about the modern day artists who throw or splatter paint on a canvas and call it a masterpiece, but rather of the artists who take painstaking effort in making a picture, and make every brush stroke an essential part of the picture. These are the true artists. They are the ones who really re-create God’s creations.

Ever since I was a little boy, I have enjoyed seeing this transformation of life upon the canvas. Since my mother was an artist, I have had a very close relationship with art and the things involved in the creation of a picture. I have learned that not everyone or anybody can re-create God’s creations well, and that those who can paint well don’t paint a picture overnight. They may spend days doing a single minute object such as an orange. A good artist inwardly drives himself to paint to perfection whatever he sees. He is not satisfied until the picture is perfect. His sense of completion is then fulfilled, because he has accurately portrayed on canvas that which is in real life.

Certainly, the ability to paint is a great talent possessed by only a few fortunate ones, but this fact doesn’t prevent us who don’t have the talent from admiring these works of perfection, and from striving to try to do our best in everything we do. Painting is an inspiration not only to the painter, but it also serves to inspire the people who lack the talent.
